Once a year usually before the new footballing season starts Fred hosts the annual Residential Training Camp!
The Goalkeeping Residential is a must for any goalkeeper wanting to go back to their respective clubs fully fit and ready for the season ahead.

Fred Barber (Bolton Wanderers Football Club & Northern Ireland Football Club) is a holder of the FA's A license goalkeeping badge, and is pleased to announce that for
the eighteenth year running he is holding an exclusive pre season professional residential goalkeeping camp for all goalkeepers regardless of playing level or ability. This is a fantastic
opportunity to get your goalkeeping skills and fitness levels back to their peak, returning to your club at the right time and in the right condition.
Previous residential courses have proved very popular and a great success with keepers from Premier, Championship, League, Conference, amateur and grass roots football. In all five goalkeepers from the training camp in 2010 found a new football club to go to as a result of being scouted at the training camp. The 2011 pro camp saw two goalkeepers obtain trails at Bolton Wanderers FC and Sheffield United FC respectively and one gained a place at a pro US team!
Head coach Fred Barber (ex Everton, Luton and Peterborough) expertly oversees the coaching of each and every goalkeeper regardless of playing level or ability.
Next year will see the course entering its nineteenth year with a structured programme designed especially for improving every professional goalkeepers game. The course includes fitness techniques and goalkeeping skills, all of which are practised in
small groups. We concentrate on all aspects of goalkeeping during our weeks residential.
Off the training ground the players can take a massage with the highly experienced football masseur, or simply relax in the company of fellow professional keepers.
The residential course dates are yet to be confirmed but it is likely to be early July, at Staffordshire University, Stoke-On-Trent. The cost of the course is to be confirmed.
